My name is Candise Branum (she/her), and I am the Director of Library Services at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. I earned my BS in Sociology from Portland State University in 2005 and my MLS from Emporia State University in 2009. In addition to managing a small academic library, I am a member of the OCOM Faculty and teach information literacy to masters and doctoral students; I also serve on the ACRL-Oregon Board as the Past President (2020-2021).
I am passionate about education and racial and social justice. I am interested in radical pedagogy, information ethics, using technology to enhance UX, learning how to be an inclusive leader, and I believe wholeheartedly in both strategic planning and making things up as you go.
